Redbacks Baseball & Softball Club are proud to have held the Sport England Clubmark status since 2011.

The Redbacks are one of only a small handful of UK Baseball & Softball Clubs within the UK accredited with this status.

Clubmark is the Sport England mark of a high quality club. It is this quality standard that the Redbacks have and will continue to achieve to ensure that the club offers a safe, welcoming and best possible environment for anyone joining the club. Having Clubmark status will provide a number of key benefits for the club.

• Assurance both to prospective players and parents/carers of younger players that the club is well organised and run, which will help to drive our recruitment of players

• Assurance to prospective players and parents/carers of younger players, local authorities, our local Sports Partnership and schools that the club has reached a national standard in offering sport to the local community. This again we hope will help drive our recruitment of players from the local area.

• That our links with local schools and youth organizations will be enhanced and help in our ability to offer Baseball and Softball as an alternative summer sport to local children

• That additional avenues of funding may become available to us as a result of Clubmark status.

• Our profile as a sports club in the local area is raised and that the local authorities recognize that the Redbacks is a sports club offering the local community a quality experience.

• To help us build a strong foundation for the future in terms of player numbers, development of the club and facilities for baseball and softball in Essex.
